This position requires knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel and Microsoft Project Manager or similar project management software.
Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings.
Knowledge of the plastic injection molding process.

Full Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE
Position provides management of all phases of IMM and Multiline projects. Phases include creation of project schedule, review and organization of project documents, co-ordination of project tasks with all concerned parties (customer, vendors, contractors, Wittmann Battenfeld staff, and sales representatives), project implementation, tracking costs, and successful completion of project. Project Manager will guide project from quoting to sales order entry to final billing and customer acceptance. This position will also coordinate and manage shows and internal open houses. Additionally this position will cover aspects of an IMM inside Sales Engineer Position when time allows.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Working with sales and the customer on multiline/system quotes. This includes identifying needs, capturing the full scope of the project, distributing the information to the other divisions to enable them to quote their part, putting the quotes together, including a cost summary sheet and presenting it to the IMM Division Manager and the Sales Manager for approval.
- Review project documents (specifications and drawings, purchase order and sales order.) Resolve any open or unresolved issues with Wittmann staff and customer representatives prior to commencement of a project.
- Plan and create project schedule using Microsoft Project software or similar software. Produce Gantt chart outlining essential project tasks including appropriate predecessor tasks. Identify potential conflicts. Update schedule periodically and report changes to customer and team members.
- Report on project progress at weekly production meetings, determine what actions may be necessary to keep project on track. Furnish project status reports to customers as required. May convene project review meetings as required.
- Sit in production meetings of each division to represent the project need and highlight schedule issues.
- Visit job sites periodically to inspect work performed, verify percent of job completion, meet with customer, and resolve any complaints related to project execution.
- Create and monitor an accurate project cost summary for each project that records actual and estimated project costs. Advise management when project cost variances may jeopardize projected project margin. Take necessary action to correct activities that will have a negative effect on project schedule or profitably.
- Responsible for creating and distributing all project documents relating to commercial issues including Change Order Requests, Customer Acceptance Forms.
- Will handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Responsible for creating agenda for project meetings with customer.
- Keep current on new products and technology for Wittmann equipment and systems.
- Maintain a "Customer Friendly" attitude whenever dealing with customers internal and external.
- Travel required.
