MicroPower for Maximum Efficiency in Micro Injection Molding
MicroPower for Maximum Efficiency in Micro Injection Molding
Everything required for production on just 2 m²
Specifically designed for the production of small- and micro-components with structures down to the nanometer range, the all-electric MicroPower injection molding machine offers maximum precision, reliability, and efficiency for shot weights ranging from 0.05 to 4 grams.
The MicroPower is more than just an injection molding machine. With a footprint of only 2 m², the machine concept integrates a rotary table, auxiliaries, automation, temperature control unit, quality assurance, and other process units. Flexibility is its greatest strength, extending even to the integration of a laminar flow box for demanding cleanroom applications.
Maximum material efficiency
The machine’s design allows the injection plunger to reach the parting line of the mold. This reduces the cushion to an absolute minimum and significantly reduces the sprue size, if not eliminating it entirely.
- A positive side effect: greater quality consistency, as pressure is transmitted over a very short flow path.
- The MicroPower does not require special micro granulate. All standard resins can be processed.
For complex process sequences
The integrated W9VS2 Scara robot is equipped with a WITTMANN R9 robot control system.
è This ensures maximum flexibility for complex process sequences.
From the Field: Microinjection Molding with 3D-Printed Nanostructured Inserts
Lab-on-a-chip devices are characterized by extremely fine channels that must be molded with high precision. This is where the MicroPower really shines. For a live demonstration of this application, watch the video linked below.
- MicroPower 15/10
- Component structures in the range of 0.04 x 0.04 x 0.1 mm
- Corner radii of up to 0.005 mm
- Transparent PP
- 3D-printed dual-cavity mold inserts from NanoVoxel
- Mold base plate from Ernst Wittner
