WITTMANN demonstrates its LSR processing expertise

From 18 to 21 April 2023, the WITTMANN Group will present to visitors of the International Industry Fair in Celje, Slovenia, ultra-modern injection molding technology at its booth No. 20 in hall K.

The International Industry Fair in Celje is an appropriate platform for the WITTMANN Group to present jointly with ROBOS, its long-standing local agency, state-of-the-art injection molding technology to interested trade visitors, including machinery and application technology as well as automation and auxiliaries.

At the fair in Celje, the WITTMANN Group will demonstrate its competence in LSR processing. With a servo-hydraulic SmartPower 120/350 LIM, four different closing caps for beverage cans and bottles will be produced from liquid silicone in a single injection-molding process, using a 4-cavity mold from Nexus, Austria. The open design of the SmartPower’s injection unit enables easy integration of the LSR metering unit. Die Nexus X200 metering unit comes with a new Servomix dosing system and is connected with the machine’s B8 control system via Euromap 82.3 OPC-UA integration. In the mold, latest cold-runner technology with FLOWSET needle shut-off regulation is used. The parts are removed by a WITTMANN W918 robot and packaged by a flow wrapping machine.

In addition, numerous WITTMANN auxilliaries from the product ranges of temperature control, drying and materials handling will be on display as stand-alone solutions. The exhibits showcased by ROBOS will include the WITTMANN temperature controller models Tempro primus C90 and Tempro basic 140, as well as a Drymax 60 dry air dryer and an S-Max 2 screenless granulator.
